The dog

This is Rocky. He's a 7 month old Siberian Husky and someone you will likely see in my office. 

Rocky was chosen with the idea that he would be my office companion. He is affectionate, playful, empathetic, and so cuddly. But, still a pup! 

I've been asked a lot about why I chose a Husky as the dog to help me in this role as they are not traditionally in the therapy area. Although Husky's can be very sassy (Rocky LOVES to talk back to me) and independent, they can also be very empathetic and loving. Not to mention their fur and general sweetness can be such a comfort. 

Rocky is the bestest boy but is still learning. He will be starting some training classes soon so he can be the best supportive furry co-therapist.

During his free time - Rocky loves torturing his older brother (7 year old German Shepherd), his cat friends, and chewing anything and everything. He really enjoys his naps, especially if he's just eaten! Rocky loves his human brother and sister to pieces and would always be playing with them if they'd let him.
